45 DAYS: The Fight For A Nation

CIF is currently working in partnership with Filmmaker Emile Ghessen, a former Royal British Commando, on his latest project “45 DAYS: The Fight For A Nation” which is a feature documentary about the unprovoked Azerbaijani and Turkish assault on the Autonomous Republic of Artsakh in September of 2020. There was significant misinformation and lack of coverage by the news media as the battle was fought not just on the battlefield, but also in the information space. Emile traveled to the region and was able to tell the story of the people who took up arms to fight, documenting the pain and suffering of those involved in the war. This is Emile’s third feature war documentary. His other projects involved filming volunteer fighters who travelled to Iraq and Syria to fight against Islamic State and volunteers who fought in the war in Ukraine. “45 Days: The Fight For A Nation” is produced by Asko Akopyan, who is also the producer of Armenia‘s official selection for the 93rd Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film, Songs of Solomon.
